Dr Jane Thomason, BSW, MPH, PhD
Dr Thomason established JTA International in 1999 and has successfully led its growth, building from an initial portfolio of aid programs to diversify into the mining sector and develop Australian operations. Dr Thomason has worked extensively in Indonesia, PNG and the Pacific, Mongolia and the Philippines and has held executive roles in Australia and internationally, including: Chair of the Wesley Hospital Board; Chief Executive Officer of the Queensland Royal Children’s Hospital; Director of Women’s Health in Queensland; Senior Social Sector Specialist at the Asian Development Bank in Manila; Head of the Department Of Community Medicine at the University of PNG and Adviser to the Health Metrics Network Executive Board in WHO, Geneva. Mr Dan Drewe, B Econ, B Bus (Accounting), CPA, Grad. Dip. Health Econ
Dan is an experienced operations manager and brings more than 15 years commercial experience to Abt JTA, specialising in international financial management quality assurance, business systems development and human resource management, across government and private sector clients. He has direct experience with project delivery and management in Australian and international settings.
Senior Medical and Hospital Advisor
Dr John Menzies, MBBS (Hons), MHA, FRACMA, AFACHSE (CHE)
Dr Menzies is a widely respected Hospital and Medical Administrator. He has held key clinical management roles including CEO, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital 1996-2002; CEO, Royal Hobart Hospital 2006-07. Dr Menzies has worked in PNG since 2002, providing senior medical and hospital management advice to a number of clients. His particular areas of expertise include: health service delivery and planning, application of telehealth services in both developing and developed countries and education of health staff in remote locations.

Mr Geoff Scahill, AFCHSE
Geoff has built the Abt JTA extractive industry portfolio since 2005 and has worked extensively in PNG during this time. Geoff is a highly experienced Health Administrator with particular strengths in financial management, health information systems and general health service management. He has held executive positions in Australia’s public sector and has also worked in the private sector where he was responsible for driving efficiencies within operations and identifying business opportunities in a highly competitive market.

Ms Clare Woolsey, B.Mus (Hons), M. Bus (Comm)
Clare has over 14 years experience working in international markets and across multiple sectors including investment banking, IT, and health services. She has held senior roles within a human resources, communications and business development capacity both in-house and as an external service provider. Several of her working years were spent in Singapore where she was responsible for regional and global portfolios.

Mr Brendon Douglas, GAICD, AFAIM, GradCertMgt, GDLP, LLB (Hons), BA
Brendon has held numerous program and executive management positions both in Australia and internationally, and is currently an Executive Council Member of the International Development Contractor’s group. Brendon has worked in Fiji, Guyana, Indonesia, PNG, Timor Leste and Vanuatu, and recently he was the Team Leader of Australia’s largest international development assistance program in the health sector. His areas of expertise include: organisational and program leadership; business development and partnership brokering; strategic planning; capacity building; and institutional analysis.

Mr Scott Mills, B Com, PG Dip BA, FCPA
Scott brings to Abt JTA more than 15 years experience across a broad range of industries and has held senior financial roles for a number of national and multinational organizations. His skills include financial control and management, system and process improvement, business strategy and execution, financial modeling and mergers and acquisitions.
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Luke Elich, MSc PPM (2012), GDLP, LLB, BBus
Luke was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2006 and is experienced in corporate governance, contracting and commercial law within Australian and Papua New Guinean jurisdictions. Luke also has a track record in the international aid and development industry with particular skills in program and policy development, monitoring and evaluation, and procurement.
